There will be plenty of changes on Wednesday

Barcelona are back in action on Wednesday as they take on Murcia in the second leg of their Copa del Rey clash at Camp Nou.

The hosts head into the game with a 3-0 lead from the first leg which should allow Ernesto Valverde to once again hand some of the youngsters a chance to impress.

We won’t see any of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Jordi Alba, Samuel Umtiti, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, Ivan Rakitic, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez as they have all been given time off.

Here’s how Barca could line-up.

Defence

With Ter Stegen rested, Jasper Cillessen should feature in goal having also played the first leg.

In front of him expect Lucas Digne to come in at left-back with Thomas Vermaelen starting again after featuring in the 1-1 draw with Valencia.

Gerard Pique could return, after being suspended for the Mestalla trip, but David Costas was in the squad at the weekend and has also been training with the first-team this week.

At right-back Nelson Semedo will probably get the night off and with Sergi Roberto still out we could see Aleix Vidal come in.

Midfield

Into midfield and expect another outing for Carles Alena who also started in the first leg.

Oriol Busquets could also feature, as he has also been training with the first-team this week.

Andre Gomes is also back in training after injury, although it’s not known if he will be fit enough to start, having not featured since the draw at Olympiacos in October.

Denis Suarez is another option and looks a likely starter, let’s hope he can impress having seen very little game time recently.

Attack

Into attack and Gerard Deulofeu could do with a good performance having failed to impress recently, particularly after coming on as a sub against Valencia.

Paco Alcacer should get another chance to stake a claim in the starting XI, particularly with Luis Suarez in such poor form currently.

Finally, we may get to see Jose Arnaiz again, he scored in the first leg, but is a doubt after picking up a problem in Barca B’s clash with Almeria.

Possible starting XI: Cillessen; Vidal, Costas, Vermaelen, Digne; Alena, Oriol Busquets, Denis Suarez; Deulofeu, Alcacer, Arnaiz.
