Levante president Quico Catalan has confirmed the club will complain to the RFEF about Barcelona fielding an ineligible line-up in the first leg of their Copa del Rey clash.

The complaint is in regards to Chumi starting the first match, and the belief he should have been suspended.

The deadline for complaints has long since passed, but Catalan says they intend to pass the matter onto the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

“It’s not an easy situation, as sports people like us, we prefer to win situations like this on the pitch,” he said.

”Whatever happens on the pitch, Levante are going to pass the situation on to the Federation tomorrow.”
