Barcelona have been drawn to face Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey after the draw was made on Friday.
Ernesto Valverde’s side booked their place in the last eight after a 4-2 aggregate win over Levante in the last 16.
Their place in the last eight was confirmed about 20 minutes before the draw was made, as Levante’s complaint about Barca fielding an ineligible line-up was dismissed.
The match will be a repeat of last season’s final which Barcelona won 5-0 to secure their fourth consecutive Copa del Rey triumph.
Here’s the full draw:
Real Madrid vs. Girona
Sevilla vs. Barcelona
Real Betis vs. Espanyol
It’s a tough test for Barcelona with Sevilla currently third in La Liga. They have beaten Pablo Machin’s side twice already this season, 2-1 in the Spanish Super Cup and 4-2 in La Liga back in October.
The first leg will be played at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium next week, with the return at the Camp Nou a week later.
