Real Betis’ Benito Villamarin stadium to host Copa del Rey final

The final of the 2018-19 Copa del Rey will be held at the home of Real Betis it was confirmed on Monday.

The Benito Villamarin stadium has been chosen as the final for this year’s competition which will take place on Saturday, May 25.

Real Betis remain in the competition, they drew 1-1 with Espanyol in the first leg of their quarter-final and will play the return leg at home on Wednesday.

Barcelona also remain in contention in the Copa del Rey.

Ernesto Valverde’s side are bidding to lift the trophy for the fifth year in a row but need a big comeback after going down 2-0 to Sevilla in the first leg of their quarter-final.
