How will Barcelona line up against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey?

Barcelona are back in Copa del Rey action on Wednesday at the Camp Nou, and they have plenty of work to do if they are to progress to the semi-finals.

The holders trail Sevilla 2-0 from the first leg which means they are going to have to go for goals against Pablo Machin’s men.

With that in mind let’s have a look at who might feature:

Defence

Jasper Cillessen will take over from Marc-Andre ter Stegen in goal and is likely to play behind a pretty strong defence.

Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba could all start, with Thomas Vermaelen and Jeison Murillo options at centre-back if Clement Lenglet needs a rest.

Midfield

Arthur seems certain to start this one after only being a substitute against Girona. Carles Alena could also come in as he was left out altogether at the weekend.

Sergio Busquets is suspended for Saturday’s La Liga clash against Valencia which means he could feature again.

Sergi Roberto, Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic are also options in midfield depending on just how strong a team Ernesto Valverde is willing to field.

Attack

Lionel Messi looks set to start again after being given a rest last week, while new signing Kevin-Prince Boateng will probably take Luis Suarez’s place up front.

The final spot in attack looks to be between Malcom, Philippe Coutinho and possibly even Denis Suarez, and all three players could do with putting in an impressive showing.

Possible XI: Cillessen; Semedo, Pique, Vermaelen, Alba; Alena, Busquets, Arthur; Messi, Prince, Malcom.
