Barcelona’s draw with Valencia was all over the front and back pages in Spain on Monday and not surprisingly there was one thing dominating the headlines.

Yes Lionel Messi’s ‘ghost goal’ was the talk of the papers after the Argentinian was denied the opener despite the ball clearly crossing the line.

Rodrigo then put Valencia ahead before Jordi Alba struck to secure the draw and preserve both teams’ unbeaten starts to the season.

Here’s what the papers made of it all:

Another Scandal - is the headline from Mundo Deportivo who highlight how it’s another error just 10 months after the ‘ghost goal’ against Real Betis.

There is a mess...and there is a league is the view from Marca who also note how the draw is a good result for Real Madrid & Atletico.
Controversy & Liga is the headline from AS which they say will reignite the debate over VAR.
They can’t do it with Barca, is the word from Sport who were obviously unimpressed with the decision.
Catalan daily L’Esportiu go for a play on words based on VAR and shame and feels Barca were deprived the win due to the decision.
