Things are looking up on the injury front

It looks as though Barcelona’s injury problems are finally starting to ease as Rafinha and Ousmane Dembele both took part in first-team training on Friday.

The duo were also joined by Andres Iniesta and Javier Mascherano ahead of Sunday’s trip to Villarreal.

Rafinha’s inclusion was the real surprise, the Brazilian has been out since April but looks to be well on his way to a return to action.

We brought you news earlier that week that Dembele was back in training and he seems to be stepping up his recovery, potentially with one eye on El Clasico.

Andres Iniesta was ruled out of the midweek win over Sporting due to injury but is back and could be in contention for Sunday.

It’s also great to see Mascherano heading towards a return to first-team action, particularly with Samuel Umtiti out injured.
