Barcelona are back to the winning ways in La Liga and stay alive in the title race thanks to a tough 3-2 win against Real Sociedad. All five goals happened in a crazy first half, and Barça then managed to stay strong and secure a very important victory.
This game was insane from the start, with both teams going forward and leaving spaces at the back, and we had plenty of chances from both sides. Barça struck twice with Lionel Messi and got a comfortable lead, but we saw three goals in the final five minutes: first Samuel Umtiti scored against his own net, then Paco Alcácer scored Barça's third, then Xabi Prieto got Sociedad's second.
AND BREATHE. Halftime, a really insane match, five goals, and a Barça lead that was certainly not safe.
The final period wasn't as crazy as the first, as both teams began to get tired and the defenses got tighter. La Real were in the front foot, always going forward and searching for an equalizer, while Barça tried to keep control of the game, not open themselves up too much and avoid Sociedad's counter attacks. That strategy worked, Barça ran out the clock and picked up the win.
