Ernesto Valverde’s side were brilliant in midweek against Celta Vigo and although Barca put out a strong side Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique and Andres Iniesta were all brought off early with the game already won.
Let’s have a look at how they might line up on Sunday...
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will return in goal and at right-back Valvede must chose between Nelson Semedo and Sergi Roberto.
Roberto appears to have the edge on Semedo at the moment and with three assists in his last three La Liga games may well get the nod again.
In central defence Pique should start, although he came off at half-time against Celta and Valverde said after the game he had “some small discomfort.”
If Pique doesn’t make it then expect Javier Mascherano to partner Thomas Vermaelen in central defence, with Jordi Alba in at left-back.
Ousmane Dembele also appeared to have a minor niggle at the end of the game against Celta and although Valverde played it down afterwards, it might be enough for Barca not to risk him and leave him on the bench.
Sergio Busquets will return to the side after missing the win over Levante and it’s likely that Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta and Paulinho will complete the midfield.
However, with Barca having been in action on Thursday it’s possible Valverde could make further changes.
It would be a massive surprise if Valverde went with anything other than Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in attack with both men in fine form and in the goals.
Messi was simply irresistible against Celta while Suarez has shrugged off some poor form and now has 11 goals in 15 La Liga appearances this season.
Possible starting XI: Ter Stegen; Roberto, Pique, Vermaelen, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Paulinho, Iniesta; Messi, Suarez.
