The captain was forced off in the first half in obvious pain and is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
❗ [INJURY NEWS] Tests carried out on the first team player Leo Messi have confirmed that he has a fracture of the radial bone in his right arm. He will be out for approximately three weeks. #FuerzaLeo pic.twitter.com/kpNcspnfqo— FC Barcelona (@FCBarcelona) October 20, 2018
Messi will miss both matches as well as the Copa del Rey game against Cultural Leonesa (which he would have likely sat out anyway), the trip to Rayo Vallecano and the return Champions League fixture against Inter Milan.
Barcelona will be hoping he might make it back in time for the game against Real Betis on November 11th and certainly for the trip to the Wanda Metropolitano to take on Atletico on November 24th.
