The team must be more compact

Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet says improving the club’s defence needs to be a priority after Sunday’s 4-3 defeat to Real Betis.

Ernesto Valverde’s side have now conceded 18 goals in just 12 La Liga games, and Lenglet has explained how they can tighten up at the back.

“We still need to do some things better, we need to play more compact so we don’t concede so many goals.

“There are always aspects in which we can improve but this is a priority because one loss in a cup competition and we could be eliminated.”

Improving the defence really needs to be a priority, as Barcelona have some tough fixtures after the international break.

They face trips to Atletico Madrid and PSV Eindhoven first up, and also play Espanyol, Tottenham, Celta Vigo, away at Levante (remember last season?) and Villarreal before Christmas.
