La Liga is back with a bang on Saturday as league leaders Barcelona take on Atletico Madrid, who are just a point behind the champions in third place.
It promises to be an intriguing clash at the Wanda Metropolitano and could prove a key game in this year’s title race.
Both teams have injury concerns going into the match, so let’s have a look at how Barcelona might line up for Saturday’s game.
Defence

Barcelona do have options in defence with Samuel Umtiti back to fitness. The Frenchman was on the bench against Real Betis and will rival Clement Lenglet for a starting spot.
Ernesto Valverde also has a big decision to make at right-back. Sergi Roberto’s defensive limitations have been highlighted in recent weeks, meaning Nelson Semedo may start.
The rest of the backline virtually selects itself. Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Gerard Pique should both be fresh after the international break, while Jordi Alba will slot in as usual at left-back.
Midfield

Valverde will have to make changes in midfield with Ivan Rakitic suspended. Sergio Busquets and Arthur are expected to start, but Rakitic’s absence means there’s a spot up for grabs.
Arturo Vidal is a strong candidate to replace the Croatian and comes into the game after scoring twice for Chile. Sergi Roberto could also be pushed into midfield, while Rafinha is another option.
Attack

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez will both start in attack, but there’s still a question mark over Philippe Coutinho’s fitness.
The Brazilian returned to training this week after being sidelined with a thigh problem, it remains to be seen if he’s fit enough to start the game.
Rafinha could also come into the reckoning in attack, while Ousmane Dembele will be hoping for some game time after being left out entirely last time.
And then there’s Malcom who has come into the reckoning after a tough start. He started the defeat to Real Betis and will be hoping to keep his place.
Possible starting XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Vidal, Busquets, Arthur; Messi, Suarez, Coutinho
