Malcom stole most of the headlines with his first Barcelona goal in Tuesday’s Champions League draw at Inter Milan.

The Brazilian seems to have finally got his Barcelon career going after a tough start, and he’s spoken about what Ernest Valverde wants him to do to improve.

“I do not know if the goal will give me more minutes, it is the coach who decides if he puts me in more.

”He tells me that I must improve defensively, I have to improve. The coach has his opinion and I must wait patiently.

“It [the goal] was unforgettable, everyone helps me a lot, they tell me that I must have patience, they give me confidence and encouragement . I am very calm for the teammates I have, I do not need anything else, they have welcomed me very well and they help me a lot.”

Malcom’s goal is obviously a big boost, but it remains to be seen how involved he’ll be going forwards. Barcelona have Real Betis up next on Sunday, will he start the game at the Camp Nou?
