It’s been a pretty frustrating day for Barcelona, held to a goalless draw by Getafe, although they are still seven points clear at the top and yet to taste defeat in La Liga.
Interestingly, this is the first time this season that Barcelona have not found the back of the net in a La Liga match.

In fact, it’s also 15 months since they last failed to score at home in a La Liga match. You have to go all the way back to November 2016, and a 0-0 draw with Malaga, to find the last time Barca were denied at home in the league.

It’s also the first time for a very long time they have failed to manage a single shot on target in the first half of a La Liga match at Camp Nou.

It’s rare to see Barca so toothless in attack, but credit must go to Getafe for their defensive performance, and you also wonder how much Thursday’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg took out of the players.
