Luis Suarez has been flirting with a one-match suspension for several weeks now but finally picked up a booking against Malaga that means he will miss next weekend’s clash against Athletic Bilbao.
The striker opened the scoring for Barcelona with a great header but was then booked late on for a clumsy foul on Ignasi Miquel.

Barcelona will therefore have to make do without Suarez for next Sunday’s visit from Athletic Bilbao, which could be good news for Paco Alcacer.
Alcacer hasn’t started in La Liga since the draw with Espanyol at the start of February but he may well get the nod next weekend.
