How will Barcelona line up against Celta Vigo?

Barcelona head to Celta Vigo on Tuesday night in La Liga but will surely have one eye on Saturday’s Copa del Rey final against Sevilla.

We haven’t seen much rotation from Ernesto Valverde this season but surely he will have to make changes for this game?

With that in mind let’s have a look at how they might line up.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen will get to put his feet up at the weekend, with Jasper Cillessen the Copa keeper, so expect him to continue in goal for this one.

Ahead of him there must surely be changes and Thomas Vermaelen should come in, probably to give Gerard Pique a rest.

Lucas Digne is fit again and could replace Jordi Alba at left-back while we might get to see Nelson Semedo back in the team after he was dropped to the bench for the win over Valencia.

There is where it might get interesting and where we might even see a move away from 4-4-2 (particularly if Lionel Messi or Luis Suarez or both are rested up front).

Denis Suarez, Andre Gomes and Paulinho will all be pushing for a start. Aleix Vidal might even get a place in the squad too if he’s lucky after being overlooked completely recently.

Celta is still a tricky place to go so we probably won’t see as many chances as we might think,

Valverde started Paulinho, Sergio Busquets and Andre Gomes in the Copa del Rey draw back in January and could do something similar on Saturday.

The big question is whether Messi and Suarez will start or whether they will get a much-needed rest.

Paco Alcacer will be hoping for a first start in a while and hopefully we’ll see Ousmane Dembele back in the starting line up.

We could also see Philippe Coutinho again too after he put in a fine performance against Valencia and grabbed two assists.

To be perfectly honest the starting lineup is really difficult to predict for this one, but this is what I’m going for.

Possible starting XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Vermaelen, Umtiti, Alba; Paulinho, Busquets, Gomes; Dembele, Alcacer, Coutinho.
