Ernesto Valverde says he will make changes for tomorrow’s La Liga clash against Celta Vigo at Balaidos.

Barcelona go into the game on the back of a 2-1 win over Valencia on Saturday but with half an eye on the Copa del Rey final against Sevilla on Saturday.

Valverde has hardly rotated this season but says he will make changes for tomorrow’s clash.

“Tomorrow there will be change as I think the team needs it. We are in an important week and we are coming off the back of a game three days ago and we have the cup final,” he said.

“It’s a possibility that Messi could rest. There’s nothing to worry about, they’re calm in Argentina because Messi still has a lot of energy left for the World Cup.

“We have faced Celta three times already and it will be a tough game. They are having a great season and are fighting for a European place.”

Celta’s a really tough place to go but the team really needs rotating as the players look jaded and badly in need of a rest. Will it actually happen though?
