Jordi Alba defended Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde after Barcelona completed a league and cup double on Sunday.
Valverde may have won the double in his first season in charge of the club but he has come under fire for Barcelona’s Champions League exit at the hands of Roma.
Alba was not too happy with the criticism Valverde has received and praised his management of the players.
“It’s an embarrassment, the players have to show our faces, we all make mistakes,” added Alba.
”Valverde deserves it more than anyone, he’s the sixth coach to have won a double. He’s managed the dressing room perfectly.”

Valverde finds himself in a bit of an odd position as he nears the end of his first full season in charge of the club.
He’s led the team to a league and cup double yet he remains deeply unpopular with large sections of the support due to the team’s style of play and their Champions League exit.
