Barcelona head to Levante on Sunday for their final away game of the season and with the unbeaten record still intact after 36 games.
Ernesto Valverde rotated a few against Villarreal and reverted back to a 4-3-3 with impressive results as the Yellow Submarine were beaten 5-1.
We might see a few more changes on Sunday but there’s no doubt the manager and the players all want to claim an Invincible season having come this close.
Let’s have a look at how they might line up.
Defence
Jasper Cillessen was rewarded with a Liga start against Villarreal but it seems likely that Marc-Andre ter Stegen will return in goal.
At right-back it’s Nelson Semedo time as Sergi Roberto is suspended again, and there’s a chance Yerry Mina and Thomas Vermaelen could see some more action.
Samuel Umtiti was left out of the squad to face Villarreal with a knee problem so Vermaelen could retain his place.
Lucas Digne was given the nod against Villarreal as Jordi Alba was given a rare breather, but he might have to head back to the bench again for this one.
Midfield
After a great showing against Villarreal Valverde could stick with a 4-3-3 but you get the feeling he’s going to go back to four in midfield.
Ivan Rakitic started Wednesday’s game on the bench but should return to the starting line-up and Ousmane Dembele will surely start again after a brilliant display on Wednesday.
Andres Iniesta will surely feature at some point in what will be his penultimate game for Barcelona and it might be between him and Philippe Coutinho for the final midfield spot.
Attack
Lionel Messi has moved clear in the race for both the Pichichi and the Golden Shoe and may avoid being rested to make sure he ends the season with both of those awards.
He should partner Luis Suarez who was given a bit of a breather against Villarreal but will want to start this one.
Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Vermaelen, Alba; Dembele, Rakitic, Busquets, Coutinho: Messi, Suarez.
