Barcelona’s clash with Real Madrid on Sunday once again made headlines after an eventful game between the two rivals.

The game was full of incident with Sergi Roberto sent off and plenty of controversial refereeing decisions, as well as some superb goals.

Here’s what the press in Spain made of the events at the Camp Nou.

Champion Pride is the big headline from Sport with a picture of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi celebrating. They also talk about how the Barcelona staff gave the players a guard of honour.

Marca report how if Barcelona had come to play for the league title it would have been a scandal. They say the hosts took advantage of two refereeing errors to remain unbeaten.

AS say Lots of Clasico, Little Refereeing. They report how match official Hernandez Hernandez infuriated both teams with his decisions.

Mundo Deportivo go with Heroes and Unbeaten and also point out how bad decisions by the referee affected both teams in the game.

Pride is the very simple message from L’Esportiu who talk about Barcelona’s heroic resistance after they played the entire second half with just 10 men after Sergi was sent off.
