Lionel Messi wouldn’t swap the Double for the Champions League

Lionel Messi doesn’t often to talk to the press too much but he’s been doing quite a few interviews ahead of the World Cup and Sport are the latest to chat with the Barcelona star.

The Argentine said once again that he approves of a move for Antoine Griezmann and also spoke about how Barcelona must improve in Europe.

He was also asked if he’d swap winning the Double for the Champions League and his answer was pretty interesting.

“No. Winning La Liga and the Copa is really important. It’s not easy. Like I said, despite what happened in the Champions League, the season was really good.”

It was another brilliant season from Messi as he inspired Barcelona to victory in La Liga and the Copa del Rey and finished pretty much top of every list you can think of.
