Sergi Samper has suffered yet another set injury setback after picking up a problem in training the club have confirmed.
A statement on the club’s website explained the nature of the injury, although it does not sound too serious.
“First team player Sergi Samper has been diagnosed with a sprain to the internal lateral ligament of his left ankle, with his recovery from the injury dictating how much of a part he will play in the next few training sessions.”

Samper suffered a serious injury last season which saw his campaign ended prematurely and his loan spell with Las Palmas cancelled.
He was forced to pull out of the club’s US tour after suffering problems with his knee. Let’s hope he can get back fit quickly and have an injury-free run.
