The German knows Masip well as the 29-year-old came through the ranks at the Camp Nou before departing for Valladolid last year.
He had a pretty decent game against Barcelona on Saturday too, something Ter Stegen was quick to acknowledge.
A special pride and pleasure to see you in La Liga, Jordi! I’m happy how everything worked out for you as you are an amazing guy. Best of luck for the season and keep it up as you did against us! pic.twitter.com/Gq63POGEPm— Marc ter Stegen (@mterstegen1) August 27, 2018
Ter Stegen was also in great form again for Barcelona. He’s yet to concede a goal in the club’s opening two games.
