Luis Suarez reckons that Philippe Coutinho changed the game for Barcelona at Anoeta against Real Sociedad on Saturday.

The Brazilian started the game on the bench but arrived at the break for Nelson Semedo.

Barcelona improved in the second half with Suarez equalising, before Ousmane Dembele netted the winner.

The Uruguayan believes the introduction of Coutinho was vital to Barcelona’s victory.

“Philippe came on and did really well,” Suarez said.

“He changed the dynamic of the game.

”I think these are the type of wins which make a difference over a season, the type of games which can decide La Liga.”

It was a tough afternoon for Barcelona on a ground where they have traditionally struggled.

Sociedad had enough chances to take at least at draw from the game but some great goalkeeping and poor finishing ensured Barca took all three points.
