Barcelona are reportedly considering changing their kits next season from the classic and famous striped kits to a newly fashioned checkered pattern. The rumors have already started to cause division inside Spain and amongst Barcelona fans.
Sport reported that Nike was already beginning to prepare production of the kits, to get ready for the 2019-20 season.

Barcelona have changed design over the years, but this would be a dramatic change for the club’s kit. A symbol of Barcelona has always been the signature stripes, and to change that would be controversial at the very least.
It’ll likely be some time before we know if the kit is officially changing. Barcelona officials have of course remained quiet on the matter so for now we rely on leaked Twitter images and the fun rumors.
