Lionel Messi was in top form against Huesca on Sunday night, as he scored twice, grabbed two assists and handed a penalty to Luis Suarez.
His first assist saw him become the first player to reach 150 in La Liga, and follows on from last season as he finished as the league’s top assist maker with 12.
Interestingly, in his recent interview with Catalunya Radio he spoke about goals and assists, and his comments are pretty revealing.
“Back then, I knew I wanted to be a goalscorer. But now it’s totally different, I prefer to give assists and if I have a chance to score, I take it which isn’t too bad.”

Messi also has four goals in his first three games, and it would be little surprise if he topped the standings for goals and assists again at the end of the season.
