Arturo Vidal admitted that Barcelona need to improve a lot after Saturday’s 2-1 La Liga win over bottom side Leganes.

The champions went behind to Youssef En-Nesyri’s opener but managed to sneak the win thanks to goals from Luis Suarez and Vidal.

However, it was another poor performance from Ernesto Valverde’s side, and Vidal spoke after the game about what his team must do to improve.

“The sensations aren’t great when you go behind and we know we have to improve a lot,” he said.

“We’re confident we can change things in the coming games. We have to make sure we’re not conceding (first) and control the game. But these matches where you win the league.

”It’s tough away from home. All the teams we play against give everything they’ve got and it’s always going to be that way. We’re conceding goals away from home. What we need to do is control the game and pick up the three points.”
