Jordi Alba has told Barcelona fans to look on the bright side after Saturday’s win over Alaves in La Liga.
The Catalan giants had a few wobbly moments after Alaves had made it 2-1 after the break but survived and went on to win pretty comfortably in the end.
There were a few whistles during the match which Alba said he understood “but I think the team played really well” and also said there were plenty of reasons for optimism.
“You have to look at the positives: we’re top of La Liga and we won out Champions League group without playing well. We just have to improve and we are going to do that.”

Antoine Griezmann also spoke about Barcelona being able to improve after the match, and it’s a word that is coming up more and more often after matches this season.
Barcelona now have a week off over Christmas. They return to training on December 29 to prepare for their first match of 2020 away at Espanyol.
