Barcelona will be top of the table by two points over Christmas following Sunday’s final round of games in La Liga.
Ernesto Valverde’s side beat Alaves 4-1 on Saturday to move three points clear at the top of the table ahead of Real Madrid.
Los Blancos were in action on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao but were held to a 0-0 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu and drop two points behind Barca.
Real Madrid had plenty of chances with Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernandez and Luka Jovic all hitting the woodwork but have now managed just one goal in their last three matches.
The teams now take a break over the festive period and return to action in January. Barca face Espanyol in La Liga before heading to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup.
