Barcelona confirm Luis Suarez out for ‘10 to 15 days’ with ankle injury

The problem does not appear to be too serious

Barcelona confirmed on Monday that Luis Suarez will be of action for up to two weeks after suffering a sprained ankle in the 4-1 in over Real Betis.

The striker has withdrawn from the Uruguay squad and will now stay with Barcelona and receive treatment for the problem.

“Tests carried out on Monday morning have confirmed that first team player Luis Suárez has a sprained right ankle.

“He will be out for 10-15 days and now undertake his recovery with the FC Barcelona medical team, having been withdrawn from the Uruguayan national team squad.”

The news is a big boost for Barcelona, and it’s possible Suarez could even better fit for their next game which is against Espanyol on March 30.
