Sergio Busquets admitted that Barcelona’s defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League is going to take some getting over after Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Getafe.

Barcelona returning to winning ways in their final home game of the season thanks to an Arturo Vidal strike and a Djené Dakonam own goal but it was a bit of a slog.

“We knew we had to play today, but it was really difficult for everyone,” he said. “We wanted to be at 100 per cent but it was a struggle because of what happened [at Liverpool].

”We have to keep going and we have to focus on the Copa del Rey final. Hopefully the wound which the club, the fans and the players have will heal.

”The challenge ahead isn’t a small one, either. The double’s no small thing but the wound from Liverpool is deep. We have to keep going and hopefully those that are injured recover quickly.”
