Victor Valdes has sent a message to Ansu Fati after the 16-year-old was included in Barcelona’s squad for Sunday’s La Liga clash with Real Betis.
The teenager has trained with the first team this week but was a surprise inclusion when Ernesto Valverde named his squad for Sunday’s game.
Juvenil A boss Valdes has sent a message of support to the youngster ahead of the match at the Camp Nou.
He wrote: “I wish you all the best on this special day. Think that at the end of the day it’s just football and scoring a goal. Enjoy the Camp Nou, little one. If you make your debut I’m sure they’ll raise you up into the sky. Always be strong and fast, Ansu.”
If Ansu Fati does play on Sunday he will become the second youngest league debutant in the club’s history.
