Antoine Griezmann said his second goal against Real Betis on Sunday at the Camp Nou was inspired by watching Lionel Messi in training.

Nabil Fekir gave the visitors the lead in the match on Sunday, but Barcelona hit back when Griezmann hit his first La Liga goal for his new club just before half-time.

The World Cup winner then hit a brilliant second to send the champions on their way to victory and spoke about his goal and celebration after the match.

“Yes, I saw Leo do it in training and I copied him,” he said. ”The celebration? I liked what LeBron [James] did and tried to copy him.”

”After the defeat there were a lot of comments; we had to work this week. We woke up after their goal and in the end we played well, with a lot of chances. We enjoyed ourselves and we hope it’s always like that.

”We really wanted to play again after Bilbao; we improved but there are still details to work on.”

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were both in the stands watching Barcelona pick up their first La Liga win of the season with Griezmann playing a starring role for the hosts.
