Clement Lenglet says Barcelona must be patient with “great kid” Ansu Fati after the 16-year-old scored and assisted in Saturday’s 5-2 win over Valencia.
Ernesto Valverde handed the youngster his full debut on Saturday and was rewarded with an impressive performance from Ansu, who opened the scoring inside two minutes.
Lenglet was asked about his teenage team-mate after the match and was full of praise for the attacker.
“He is only 16 years of age, so we need to be patient with him,” he said. “He makes the most of his minutes and is a great kid who deserves what’s happening to him.
“We always tell him to listen, work and learn.”

Ansu has impressed whenever he’s been called upon this season and may well be involved again on Tuesday when Barcelona take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
