Gerard Pique called on Barcelona to be united following Saturday’s 2-0 La Liga win over Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Goals from Luis Suarez and Junior Firpo handed the visitors a first away win of the season and eased some of the pressure after a slow start.

Pique spoke after the game about how the club need to stay together in a message that seemed to be directed at the board.

“We need to be together – and when I say together, I mean the fans and the board too,” he said.

“We’re hoping that nobody tries to provoke battles that aren’t there, and which we don’t want. We need to keep the club united.”
