Barcelona have reportedly appealed the red card Clement Lenglet received in Thursday’s win over Celta Vigo at Balaidos.

The Frenchman was sent off towards the end of the first half after picking up his second yellow card of the match.

The first was for a foul on Gabriel Veiga just outside the area, and the second came when he caught Denis Suarez in the head with an arm.

Barcelona protested long and hard about the decision on the pitch and have now appealed the red, although they are not confident the decision will be overturned.

If it is allowed to stand then Lenglet will be suspended for Sunday’s match against his former club Sevilla with Ronald Araujo expected to replace him in the starting XI.
