Philippe Coutinho says Barcelona need to work hard to fix things after Sunday’s hard-fought draw with Sevilla at the Camp Nou.

The Brazilian scored his first goal of the season in the match, equalizing shortly after Luuk de Jong had fired the visitors into the lead.

Coutinho offered his thoughts after the final whistle and explained why Barca had found it tough going in what was their third match in a week.

“It was a tough game, difficult, but that’s something that we knew. We took a point and now it’s the international break. I hope everyone returns fine and we can keep working.

“We’re playing the third game of three in a week and it’s hard but we’re at the start of the season and we’re going to adapt.

“Sevilla played very well, with a lot of players in the middle of the pitch and there are things we have to correct in the dressing room.”

The draw means Ronald Koeman’s side drop points for the first time in La Liga in 2020-21, but they are still unbeaten after games against Villarreal, Celta and now Sevilla.
