Antoine Griezmann says Barcelona are angry and upset after Saturday’s 1-1 La Liga draw with Alaves at Mendizorrotza.
The Frenchman rescued a point for Barca with his first goal of the season after the visitors had gone behind after a mix-up between Gerard Pique and Neto.
Griezmann’s neat chip made it 1-1 after Alaves had been reduced to 10 men when Jota was sent off early in the second half.
Barca looked set to go on and take the three points but couldn’t find another goal, and Griezmann spoke about the team’s disappointment after the match.
“We are angry, upset, we wanted the three points. We have a lot to work on and improve in all aspects. We had many chances but just took one,” he said.
“We are missing chances, starting with me. I try and improve in that. I don’t normally miss many chances, but lately I have been. But I just stay calm and work hard. I’ve a long way to go yet.”
The result means Barca have collected just two points from the last 12 available and leaves them already eight behind Real Madrid although they do have a game in hand.
