Barcelona host Osasuna on Sunday in La Liga at the Camp Nou and will also come up against referee Mateu Lahoz who will take charge of the clash.
Lahoz is one of La Liga’s most high-profile match officials and has been embroiled in plenty of controversy throughout his career.
Sunday’s match is a real must-win for Barca after losing to Atletico last time out in the Spanish top-flight which has left them down in 13th place in the table.
It’s the first time Lahoz has taken charge of Barca this season, the last time they came up against the referee was last season in a 1-0 win at Real Valladolid in July.
Gerard Pique has famously clashed with Lahoz in the past but will be missing from the starting XI. The defender is expected to be sidelined for four months with his knee injury.
Barca face an Osasuna side that have not won away since an opening day victory over Cadiz and were held to a 1-1 draw by Huesca last time out in La Liga.
Sunday’s match will also see both teams observe a minute’s silence to honor Diego Maradona.
