Joaquin has had a bit of a pop at Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman ahead of Real Betis’s trip to the Camp Nou this weekend.

The winger played under Koeman during the Dutchman’s short spell in charge at Valencia and spoke to El Larguero about how it was not an experience he enjoyed.

“It wasn’t the best experience of my career. It was an enjoyable experience, but as I always say: you have to go through everything and that was what it was at that moment. I don’t want to speak more about it because, honestly, it hurts me what happened there, I had a really tough time.”

Joaquin then stuck the boot in even further when asked if he would recommend Koeman for a job. He answered: “Not even as the kit man!”

The two teams are due to meet on Saturday with Koeman needing a result after seeing his team go four games without a win in La Liga.

it seems he’s unlikely to get much out of Joaquin when the two men meet again. The 39-year-old added: “He won’t say hello to me and I won’t say hello to him.”
