Or possibly later...

La Liga president Javier Tebas has offered another update on when top-flight football in Spain may resume and is thinking April, May or even later.

La Liga has been put on hold for the next two matchdays but will surely be extended further with the country pretty much on lockdown in a bid to contain the coronavirus.

Tebas said on Sunday he was “convinced” the season would be completed, and he’s now talking timescales.

“We are going to end the season, we are working on the times,” he said.

“There are several hypotheses: we hope to resume in April or May…I do not rule out that it may even be later. We are going to wait for what UEFA decides this Tuesday.”

UEFA will hold a meeting on Tuesday to discuss football across Europe which may provide more of an indication of what happens next.

The expectation is that Euro 2020 will be moved to next summer to free up space in the calendar to finish domestic leagues and the Champions League.
