Cristiano Tello did Barcelona a favour in the title race on Sunday by scoring the winner as Real Betis beat Real Madrid at the Benito Villamarin.

The result means Barcelona stay on top of the table, now two points clear of Real Madrid with 11 games left to play.

Tello replaced Joaquin on 66 minutes and struck the all-important goal with just eight minutes left to play in a frantic match on Sunday night.

It’s a first home win for Betis against Real Madrid since 2012 and sets them up nicely for their next game away at Sevilla.

The result also means a good weekend for the champions just got even better, and they are back in charge of the title race with 11 games left to play.
