Luis Suarez was busy helping Barcelona to an 8-0 hammering over Deportivo La Coruna on this day back in 2016 at the Estadio Riazor.

Barca came into the game on April 20 on the back of three straight league defeats to Valencia, Real Sociedad and Real Madrid that had hit their title hopes.

The visitors were also without Gerard Pique for the match but coasted to an impressive victory thanks to a superb performance from their Uruguay international.

Suarez opened the scoring from close range from a corner, added his second after great work from Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi and then teed up Ivan Rakitic to make it 3-0.

Messi sent Suarez through for his hat-trick just after half-time before Neymar helped the Uruguayan grab his fourth of the night on 64 minutes.

A clever turn from Suarez then allowed him to put Messi on the scoresheet, while Marc Bartra made it 7-0 with a neat solo effort.

Neymar wrapped it up late on after a pass from Suarez to complete a fine night from the Catalans.
