Gerard Pique loves a Clasico and has been busy remembering Barcelona’s 6-2 thrashing of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on this day in 2009.
The defender was on target in one the most legendary Clasico wins in the long history of this famous fixture.
Pique notched Barcelona’s sixth goal and has taken to social media to celebrate what was a very special night in the Spanish capital.
Carles Puyol was also on target in the game and also posted on Instagram about “one of the most exciting nights” of his career.
Thierry Henry and Lionel Messi were the other goalscorers, both netting a brace, as Pep Guardiola’s men cruised to victory on their way to the treble.
