Antoine Griezmann is glad Luis Suarez is back from injury ahead of the return of La Liga and says the Catalan giants have missed the Uruguay international.

Suarez has not featured since January after suffering a knee injury but is back to full fitness in time for Saturday’s clash with Real Mallorca.

Griezmann is looking forward to playing alongside Suarez again and also feels refreshed after almost three months without competitive football.

“Luis is our number 9, a goalscorer, the one who makes the difference in big games along with Leo. We missed him in the last games. We are really happy to have a player like him back and he will help us from the beginning,” he said.

“I think on a personal level it has been good for me. I have been able to rest, I think it has been five years since I have had a rest like that so mentally and physically it has been good. I was able to enjoy time with my family, my kids and now I am ready to go.”

Griezmann has struggled for La Liga goals in 2020. His only strike in the competition this year came against Leganes, but he did grab a goal and an assist the last time Barcelona played Real Mallorca in December.
