Sergi Roberto is expected to sit out Barcelona’s clash with Athletic at the Camp Nou on Tuesday but could be fit in time for Saturday’s trip to Celta Vigo.

The 28-year-old started Barca’s first two games since La Liga restarted but was forced out off the game against Sevilla due to a rib injury.

Manager Quique Setien has said he’s unsure how long Roberto will be out for but it seems he will not be risked on Tuesday.

Sport are reporting Barca won’t rush Roberto back and “will give him as much time as he needs” to fully recover as they don’t want him to suffer a recurrence.

Nelson Semedo should therefore continue on Tuesday. The Portugal international made his first start since La Liga resumed against Sevilla and put in a good performance.
