Quique Setien has been talking about Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez’s fitness ahead of Saturday’s eagerly-anticipated clash with Real Mallorca.
Messi has missed the last couple of training sessions with a minor quad injury, although he is expected to return to full training on Monday.
Suarez has been out of action since undergoing knee surgery in January but has been cleared to return to action by the club’s medical department.
Setien has spoken about the duo and offered some insight into whether they might start on Saturday in Barcelona’s first game back.
“Messi is not the only one that has not trained and felt some discomfort. It’s what has happened to everyone or practically everyone since they have been back.
“It is some minor tightness and we have it under control. He is doing perfectly and will not have any problem.”
“He [Suarez] is better than we expected. But the question is how ready he is after so long out, and whether he is ready to start.”

Setien has decisions to make in attack regarding Messi and Suarez, and he also has issues in defence with centre-back Clement Lenglet ruled out through suspension.
