Arturo Vidal knows Barcelona need to improve and called on his team to be more focused after Saturday’s win over Real Valladolid.

The Chile international was Barca’s match-winner at the Jose Zorilla with his eighth goal of the season and offered his thoughts after the match.

“It was a difficult game because Valladolid are a team that play well and the heat did not help, either. To be honest, they made things tough in the second half but the important thing is we leave with the win.

“In the second half, we struggled to find our rhythm, we have to be more focused on the pitch, but we have to improve.”

“The title doesn’t depend on us but we’re going to give our all, try to win every game and wait and see. If it doesn’t happen, we will go into the Champions League in the best possible form.”

Vidal’s goal keeps Barca’s title hopes alive but they still need Real Madrid to slip up. Los Blancos play Granada on Monday and then finish off with games against Villarreal and Leganes.
