Samuel Umtiti has posted a pretty cryptic message on social media after being ruled out of action again with a knee injury.

Barcelona confirmed on Friday he is out with another knee problem and will undergo “conservative treatment” but have not put a timeline on his recovery.

Umtiti has taken to Instagram stories with the following post:

“I wish I could go back to the past, not to change things, but to relive the time when I was happy and didn’t know it.”

It’s not clear when Umtiti will return but AS are fearing the worst.

They report that Umtiti is out for a “minimum of five weeks” which means he will miss their remaining five La Liga games and will probably not feature again in 2019-20.

Barcelona’s final league game is in just over two weeks’ time against Alaves on July 19th.

The club then resume their Champions League campaign against Napoli on August 7 or 8 either at the Camp Nou or in Portugal

The winners of the tie will go through to a final eight tournament in Lisbon which kicks off five days later with the final set for August 23.
