Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman was pretty happy with his team after their 4-0 victory over Villarreal on Sunday at the Camp Nou.

The Catalan giants made a strong start to their 2020-21 La Liga campaign after a difficult summer, with two goals from Ansu Fati, a Lionel Messi penalty and a Pau Torres own goal sealing the win.

Koeman spoke about Barcelona’s performance and also singled out Fati for praise after the game.

“I am really happy with the way we played in the first half, we dominated. We played like a great team, robbing the ball back, our transition in the attack was optimum.

“We have to highlight Ansu’s performance. I complained a little but last week about not being at his best in the friendly. He’s only 17, he will have a great future, but he can still improve things. Sometimes he lacks concentration.

“One of my criticisms was in the game against Elche. He wasn’t good. Today, yes. The width he offers on the left was huge, he played really well and we took advantage of his qualities.”
